Last week's rescue of a deer in Snail Lake in Shoreview really touched a nerve with some people. Lamont wrote: "I would like to know what it cost to rescue that deer. You are probably liberal so you won't have the courage to dig into it..."
That's where you're wrong Lamont. I'm full of courage. And so that is tonight's Good Question. (note to viewers: challenge me, and then I'm very likely to do your Good Question)
Lamont points out that the expense to rescue a deer is "ridiculous." So I wanted to know: What does something like this really cost? And is it a use of taxpayer money that we support? How do authorities decide when to save an animal, and when to let nature take its course?
What do you think?
