What a great day to be at the Great Minnesota Get-Together! The weather is beautiful, the vendors are jazzed and there's a never-ending list of activities for both kids and adults.
I am super lucky to be blogging from the WCCO-TV building here at the fair and I'm stationed right in the center of the action. It's really cool to see people like Jason DeRusha, Angela Davis, Frank Vascellaro and Mike Augustyniak walking around and to watch all the behind-the-scenes people who make it happen like PJ Fiske, who got me set up with the technology needed to talk to you today.
On my way in, I was able to cross one item off
my list, veggie fries from Vegie's booth. I think this sign says it all:
They offered three dipping sauces, ketchup, sweet and sour, and ranch. The combo of ranch and ketchup proved to be the best. Mmm... fried foods!
I haven't had to go far for food. Jason DeRusha dropped off some delicious macaroons from The Salty Tart:

And I was also delivered a local and organic watermelon from the EcoExperience building:
I'm off to wander around the fairgrounds and find some more delicious foods. I'm sure it will be an easy task.
