Wine, Women And Baseball

Posted by: Toby Collodora
What a fun event!  My mom and I got to the Dome right around 5 last night to partake in the Wine, Women and Baseball event.  We were celebrating her birthday and had such a good time.

The food was great (and I'm big on food!)  We enjoyed cheese and crackers, chicken, meatballs, fruit, veggies and the famous chocolate fountain.  You could dip strawberries, marshmallows and rice krispie bars in the chocolate, which was very, very fun.  (And only slightly messy.)

I got my nails done (how girly!) but we skipped the makeovers.  Even better, was after the event was done, we got to see the Twins blow out the Nationals.  Kevin Slowey pitched a great game and it was a welcome change to see some offense out of the Twins.

I think my mom really enjoyed her birthday gift.  Now I have to find something for dad, who promptly e-mailed me this morning wondering what he would be getting for his July birthday.  Maybe the Twins should start a Killian's and baseball night.  That would be the perfect gift.
