I know the longtime reader of this blog will be disappointed, but I just returned from the Diamond Awards and it turns out I am not the TV Personality of the Year. I know, right? Shocking.
The winner is local TV host Carla Beurline. I'm going to google her. She's the host of "Around Town" on cable channel 6. She was also the hostess of the awards because she won last year. She was delightful.
But, she also won the award for TV Sales Person of the Year. I think much like Oprah withdrew from the Daytime Emmy Awards, Carla should withdraw from the Twin Cities Media Network Diamond Awards. She won last year. She won two awards this year. Give the rest of us a chance, Carla!
Congrats to my friend and coworker Katie Knutson who won for Promotions/Marketing Person of the Year.
UPDATE 3:16pm: My mom just named me TV Personality of the Decade. Thanks mom!
