For those of you looking for a new
cocktail for the New Year (and who isn't?), how about this from WCCO morning anchor,
bon vivant and all around fun gal Angela Davis. (I really love the
modifications.) For the record, Angela's imaginative
efforts behind the bar are non-partisan –- although she found this year's
inaugural cocktail especially easy to name.
She writes that
she "put together this recipe for a drink in Barack Obama’s honor."
1 shot of Stoli Vanilla
vodka
1 shot of Godiva Dark Chocolate
Liqueur
Angela adds: "Fill your shaker with ice, toss in
these two ingredients, shake it up and there you have it. After he won the
presidential election, I started adding a maraschino cherry. I've
also thrown in a splash of Kahlua to mix it up a bit. Or you can add a little
Starbucks coffee liqueur to modify the taste. If it's too strong for you, throw in some Hershey's
chocolate syrup. Really."
