Right now there are helicopters flying over San Francisco, and Twitter is tittering about why. In addition the buzz overhead right now, some San Francisco residents were treated to a low-flying news copter early this morning as it covered a fatal pedestrian accident.
While the helicopters currently in the SF skies do not belong to CBS 5, they very well could. CBS 5 regularly deploys "Chopper 5" to cover everything from pick-ups that drive off of Treasure Island into Bay Waters to the search of a suspected rapist and kidnapper's home.
As citizens of the Bay Area, what do you think of the use of news helicopters? Did you think they are deployed to often? Fly too low? Necessary evil? Or do you wish you got more of your news from footage obtained from up above?
Let's hear your thoughts on news copters and their frequency of use in the Bay Area. Comments go below.
