Automatic calls to your cell phone alerting you that your car's auto warranty is about to expire: If you haven't received one of these personally, you likely know someone who has. And the odds that that someone doesn't even own a car is high, too, because these calls are outright scams.
SF Appeal taught you how to get those calls to cease. Now CBS 5's investigative reporter Anna Werner visits a telemarketing center for those warranties--one located right here in the Bay Area.

Werner and her team did a bang-up job tracking down the location of this auto warranty call center, talking to a former employee about how the company called what they were selling "fraud policies," found a couple who paid $2200 for said fraud policy, only to have nothing covered on their vehicle, locating the supposed man behind the scheme and highlighting an obvious scam that has been plaguing people nationwide.
