Online Grief for Slain Oakland Officers

Type "Oakland" into Twitter's search engine, and you'll find an outpouring of sentiment from people all around the country regarding the slaying of four officers in the East Bay city. Condolences in 140 characters or less are continually streaming in. It's heartening and heartbreaking all at once.

Some Twitter users are promoting an hour of silence on the microblogging site tonight in honor of the fallen officers:
