This just in: Carlos Sousa, Jr.'s family has settled with the San Francisco Zoo over the mauling death that occurred on Christmas Day in 2007. From the press release:
The parents of Carlos Sousa, Jr. have reached a mutually agreeable settlement with the San Francisco Zoological Society for an undisclosed amount. The entire settlement will be paid by the Zoological Society's insurance carrier and will result in a dismissal of all parties, including the City and County of San Francisco. As part of the settlement, the San Francisco Zoological Society has agreed to erect and maintain a bench in memory of Carlos Sousa, Jr. at the Zoo.
A suggestion: Perhaps emblazon the words
DO NOT TAUNT TIGERS on that bench.
