I hate myself for making this post, and I feel a little like a
Valleywagger by doing this, but what the hell. There is a bit of
online love/sex drama going on between two very prominent bloggers in the Bay Area: one who
writes for the Silicon Valley Gawker site and
one who used to, til he was fired. I feel dirty linking to these published confessionals, but they were put out for public consumption, so why not? I'm curious if people care about the public break up of two popular SF-based bloggers. Likely not, but the story is a bit salacious. The spilling of the beans online by Melissa is a move Julia Allison would make. And has. And as we all know, Allison is a frequent target of Gawker Media.
Could this be satire? Is this some bizarre attempt to remake
JakobandJulia.com? Either way, navel-gazing blog followers might get a thrill from reading the oversharing.
UPDATE: This is a disclosure that should have come with the initial post: I know both Nick Douglas and Melissa Gira, as we met at a blogger meet-up. Since that time I have attended an industry function with Nick, so in the interest of full transparency, I am acquaintances with both.
