Tonight we launched a money saving series. For the next four Wednesday evenings at ten I'll share some of my favorite tricks to saving. We're starting with online websites.
So below you'll find some of my favorites.
Groceries
Coupons.com—this site has a great selection of grocery coupons, but you'll also find coupons for household items. You can click on the coupons you want then just print the ones you've selected. You don't need to register to save and the coupons constantly change.
My Bargain Buddy.com—this site has grocery and other store savings. You'll find deals from 1700 different stores. Her "Hot Deals of the Day" which highlight items that are at least 75 percent off.
Mygrocerydeals.com—this site scans circulars. You can search for sales at stores in your zip code.
The Grocery Game—this site monitors advertised and unadvertised sales and manufacturer's coupons helping you combine the savings without having to do the work. Right now the site is offering a four-week trial membership for just $1.00. After that you'll pay $5 a month to access one store list and it goes up from there. Members log on once a week and access a shopping list, which outlines the sales bargains available at local supermarkets for that week, including both advertised and non-advertised sales. Members then print out that list and use it as a shopping guide.
Savings Angel—this site is scheduled to launch in the Twin Cities soon. It is similar to the Grocery Game in that it compares advertised sales and manufacturer coupons. You will pay to become a member with this site as well.
Shortcuts.com probably won't help that many folks in the Twin Cities, but if you live in other places across the country this site allows you to add coupons to your loyalty card. It's a way to avoid keeping up with those clipped coupons.
The Coupon Clippers.com
Promotion Codes
Retail me not.com—this site is one I use regularly when shopping online. You can plug in the store of your choice and up pop the promotional codes. The site even tracks the success of the codes.
Coupon chief.com is another great place to look. It not only publishes the most popular promotional codes, it shows you the success rates and allows you to post the codes you find. You can even earn money for sharing the savings.
Free shipping.org—this site has codes for 800 different stores including Cabela's, Coldwater Creek, JCPenney and Macy's. The site also tells you when the code expires.
Sales Finders
iStorez.com—this site lets you select your favorite stores and then finds the sales.
Shoplocal.com—this site lets you select the city where you live and then compiles sales from hundreds of stores. You can shop by store or by product category.
Fatwallet.com—this site lets you compare prices and posts the best deals and coupons daily for hundreds of stores. You can also get cash back if you register and shop through this site.
Deal Locker.com—this site is fairly new but has free coupons for groceries and dozens of other stores.
Dealio.com—this site is also fairly new. It allows you to compare prices, find coupon codes and check out daily online deals.
Local Deals
Visit St.
Paul.com—this site is run by the St. Paul Convention and Visitors Authority.
It started in April and includes all kinds of coupons to local spots, including
restaurants, hotels and museums. They change constantly so it’s a good spot
regularly.
Meet Minneapolis—this site mainly offers coupons for
out of town guests, but you will find coupons to restaurants that even locals
can use.
Got a site you think is worth sharing, add it in the comment section below.
