Greetings internet friends, today's lesson is about the importance of keeping your domain name registration up to date. As of 8 a.m., if you log on to popular Minnesota website, MNSpeak.com, you'll find a placeholder page, put up by a company called Hyper Future Vision. They handle registrations. So, for example, I own www.JasonDeRusha.com (even though there's nothing there), and I pay another company to register the name for me.
At any rate, a simple search reveals that the registration expired today, April 22. Oops. My site expires in 2009, so if someone could remind me around that time, I'd appreciate it.
UPDATE 10:18am: MNSpeak appears to be back up. Someone paid the bill! Too bad, I was hoping to turn my blog into a mini-MNSpeak, complete with random posts about bacon.
