Come midnight, Session 2009 will be over
for Minnesota's Legislature, but that doesn't mean their job will be done.
Republican Gov. Tim Pawlenty and the DFL-led Legislature still
haven't been able to agree on a way to balance the state's budget. Right
now we're almost $5 billion in debt, and despite their differences, the governor said there will be no special
session.
So what do you think about the way we do
business here in Minnesota?
Should our lawmakers work year round rather than just a few months so we
wouldn't have these do or die deadlines?
What do you think about
balancing our budget?
Should we have to even things up ever year or do you think the state
should start carrying over its debt?
