House Democrats have unveiled a new
health care reform plan they say will make affordable, quality health care
available to nearly all Americans. The bill would extend coverage to 36 million
more Americans, bar insurance companies from denying coverage based on health
history and require employers to offer coverage to their workers. It includes a
government-run insurance option. The price tag for this bill is estimated at
about a trillion dollars over the next 10 years.
Democrats plan on paying for part of
the cost by taxing people who make over a half-million dollars a
year.
Republicans are expected to oppose
the measure unanimously. So what do you think about this new version of the
health care reform plan? Will it really improve things for patients? Or is it
just another political plan that won't really work.

say.
