Do you play Fantasy Baseball?
I do. Proudly.
I look at Fantasy baseball as a chance to better educate myself on the game of baseball. There are all kinds of leagues out there...from cbs, yahoo, espn, mlb, etc....
I am an ESPN.com guy. Always have been. Just comfortable on the site. I usually just do autopick drafts as I don't have the time to sit for hours and draft. Although, on Friday I did partake in a draft that my son put together. It was a blast. Eight of us. Took almost two hours. Fun to try to time when to pick which guys. Here's a few of my picks...
Jose Reyes, Geovany Soto, Evan Longoria, Rafael Furcal, Brian Roberts, David Ortiz, Jim Thome are among my positional players..while Johan Santana, CC Sabathia, Josh Beckett, and Jonathan Papelbon are among my pitchers.
So-so team.....but that's not the point.
Fantasy Baseball gets you ready for the regular season as you need to update yourself on all players around baseball. And, once the season begins it's a great way to keep tabs on other players that aren't on the Red Sox.
So go ahead and dig in...have some fun as Spring Training is underway.
And feel free to ask Fantasy Baseball questions here at "Hit and Run" as well as share your thoughts on how you play.
