AMO!!!!!
I was no longer channeling Charles Spackler, I had officially become him, as I proudly shared the pictures of the dead rat to the clerks at Home Depot.
Both Jesus and Troy looked at me like I was a bit, crazy, but when they started to recount their rodents stories, they too got the Charles Spackler lip. You know the one.
First I started with plenty of reading, then I got tips from fellow co-workers who had also battled with rats.
Apparently I used too much food on the first traps. You only use a little so it's more work for them to get to and easy to, well you know, do the deed.
I bought two electric mouse traps, four more snap traps, two boxes of rat poison, and munchies they reportedly like including my dog's food.
I decided I was going for it.
I placed two snap traps in the basement, one with cheese the other with PB. Two more in the garage both with PB & cracker crumbs. I set both the electronic traps in the garage. One had the dog food, the other, a cracker with PB on it.
If these enticing morsels don't work, I also read they like sweets, like cookies, chocolate and fruit, got plenty of them too.
I taped the hole up in the original dog food container and placed it in the middle of the garage. If the hole is gnawed through, I'll know that the rats out smarted my traps and ate the food. If the hole is not cut through and the traps are intact, I'll know they are gone.
Well that's my hope.
I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed this morning because I didn't hear the traps go off. I set up four snap traps and didn't hear one. So sad.
