Friday I'm hosting High School Sports Rally, as Frank has the day off.  So if you live near Belle Plaine, come visit me!  I'll be live in the 5pm and 6pm news (as Riley the dog tries to pick the winner).  Then I'll be live at 10pm with the winner of the undefeated Holy Family (in Victoria, MN) and Belle Plaine.  Awesome.  I'm not a sports guy, but someone will no longer be undefeated after this epic game.

And then this blog is going to disappear for awhile.  Well, I'm going to disappear.  Unless I get really inspired and turn this into a wine blog for the next five days.  I'm off to Napa Valley, California for a vacation.  Don't think about robbing my house, my in-laws will be staying there with the kids while we're gone.

I'm super excited to visit Fantesca Estates Winery.  A couple years ago, I wrote about my visit to O'Shaughnessy Winery, a winery run by former Minnesotan Betty O'Shaughnessy.  

Delicious wine, we tasted it out of the barrel, and all the people working there are from Minnesota.


After I wrote about it, I got an e-mail from former Best Buy exec. Duane Hoff.  He and his wife Susan left Minnesota, and bought a vineyard.  (They met at the U of M, worked their way up at Best Buy, and now are big shot winos.)  So we're visiting there Monday, I'll give you a report.
