Bay Area residents are well aware of when BART stops running at night. You calculate whether or not you can fit in another round based on the last departing train's schedule. It is a cruel parent, BART, that makes you get home just after midnight, no matter when you had your last imposed curfew.
Well, for one weekend, and one weekend only, you can pretend you live in a world class location that has transbay train transit running all night long! On Labor Day weekend, because the Bay Bridge will be closed for earthquake retrofitting,
BART will run all night long:
BART is running hourly, overnight service to 14 stations Friday,
September 4th through Monday, September 7th. We're operating longer
trains the entire weekend, and on Monday, September 6th (Labor Day)
we're operating a Saturday schedule. If you're planning to ride BART's
overnight service, remember to board at a station that will be open
overnight to avoid being stranded.
For more information and the complete schedule of service, go to the longer story on the main BART website.
