Mainstream media is in the midst of an upheaval. The proliferation of blogs, internet news and social networking is requiring long-time industry types to scramble to find a way to grasp on to an increasingly slippery audience. First, they co-opted blogs. Now, they are taking to Twitter, the hottest new web thingy this side of Facebook. Local media organizations are boarding the Twitter bandwagon, some more effectively than others, and Eye on Blogs has compiled a (too-short) list of Bay Area news outlets who have working Twitter feeds.
